Throwback Thursday (May 18, 2017)

The Throwback Thursday meme was created by Renee over at It’s Book Talk. She made this meme to share some of our old favorites as well as sharing books that we want to read that were published over a year ago. I know that I have a large amount of book son my shelves and my TBR pile that this is a nice way to share and find new books that could potentially get added to make it an ever larger pile!

My Pick This Week:

Published on June 16, 2015 by Atria/Emily Bestler Books

My Rating: 5 Stars

When a beautiful, aspiring writer strides into the East Village bookstore where Joe Goldberg works, he does what anyone would do: he Googles the name on her credit card. There is only one Guinevere Beck in New York City. She has a public Facebook account and Tweets incessantly, telling Joe everything he needs to know: she is simply Beck to her friends, she went to Brown University, she lives on Bank Street, and she’ll be at a bar in Brooklyn tonight – the perfect place for a “chance” meeting. As Joe invisibly and obsessively takes control of Beck’s life, he orchestrates a series of events to ensure Beck finds herself in his waiting arms. Moving from stalker to boyfriend, Joe transforms himself into Beck’s perfect man, all while quietly removing the obstacles that stand in their way – even if it means murder.

This books was amazingly creepy. A new outlook to stalking and obsession. This book was recommended to me by Sam from Clues and Reviews. I had originally seen this book being read by a lot of fellow bookstagrammers and had it on my TBR list until her and I started talking books. She talked this book up so much that I had no choice to make it my next current read at the time. Boy, am I glad I did!

I loved everything about this book, but more importantly is how I fell in love with the criminal and I am not sorry about it! If you have yet to read YOU by Caroline Kepnes this is a book I will recommend until I’m blue in the face. So go read it!

Happy Reading! xx
